Long-term Variation of Air Environment in Miyazaki Prefecture

Abstract
Since 1981 in Miyazaki Prefecture, continuous surveillance and monitoring of air pollution has been continued with a telemetry system by the prefectural government in according with Air Pollution Control Law.

We have studied annual concentration changes of sulfur dioxide (SO2), nitrogen dioxide (NO2), suspended particulate matter (SPM), chemical oxidants (Ox), carbon monoxide (CO) and hydrocarbon (HC) from 1983 to 2003 fiscal year.

We found that the concentrations of SO2, SPM, CO and HC have been decreasing or remained at the same level and the concentrations of NO2 and Ox have been increasing or remained at the same level for 20 years.

はじめに
昭和44年度に延岡地区で大気汚染状況の測定が開始され，昭和46年度には，延岡地区にテレメータシステムが設置された．その後，昭和56年度には，大気 汚染中央監視局が公害センター内に開局され，県内の大気汚染状況の監視が行われるようになった．平成元年から2年度に，測定局の再配置，中央監視局の衛生 環境研究所への移転，平成5年度には，テレメータシステムの更新などが行なわれてきた．

現在，宮崎県内には，21局の一般大気環境測定局（以下，一般局という）と5局の自動車排出ガス測定局（以下，自排局という）が設置され，大気環境の常 時監視が行われている．なお，平成10年度に宮崎市が中核市となり，市内の一般局3局，自排局2局（平成14年度に1局増設）は，宮崎市に移管された．

本報告では，過去20年間の宮崎県内の大気環境の変動について述べる．
