The analysis of unrecognized prescription drugs in health foods

Abstract
In July, 2002 many people who ingested health foods mixed unrecognized prescription drugs suffered from health damage.

In order to understand the capability of affecting to the human body, we analyzed the component of 8 kinds of health foods with LC/MS and GC/MS.

The LC separation was carried out on a 4.6mm i.d.×150mm column ODS-3, GC/MS was on a 0.22×30m column BPX-35.

T3 and T4 in health foods for 2001 were assayed as much as common dose of thyroid horumone, but were detected in small amount of common dose of it for 2002.

Also, N-nitroso-fenfluramine or Sibutramine were detected in health foods for 2002, and these quantity were enough to affect to the human body.

Steroid hormone and nonsteroid anti-inflammatory were detected at the level of common dose of prescription drugs from nutritious foods.

はじめに
「健康食品」はその名前が示すように効果への期待と手軽さから利用者が多く、インターネット等の普及により流通も国際的になってきている。これまでにも痩身効果を狙って乾燥甲状腺末^1)〜3)やセンナ、ダイオウ⁴⁾などを混入させたダイエット食品による健康被害事例があった。しかし、最近（平成14年7月頃から）は、全く新たな化学物質であるN-ニトロソフェンフルラミンやシブトラミンを含有するダイエット食品による健康被害が全国的に続出している^5）。また、本県では同時期に副腎皮質ホルモンと消炎鎮痛剤を含有する健康食品による健康被害も発生した。

平成12年度に、「健康食品中の甲状腺ホルモンの分析」について報告²⁾したが、その後の新たな健康食品による健康被害に対して、原因究明のための分析を行い、若干の知見を得たので報告する。
