Kimio NAKAMURA, Hirohiko HAMADA and Shigeo TANAKA
Abstract
In Miyazaki Prefecture, environmental and dietary radioactivity has been monitored
since July 1998. This paper reports the radioactivity survey data from April
2003 to March 2004.
Grossβ radioactiivity in rain samples was N.D.-3.3Bq/L.
Cesium-137 in greenteas and soils were measured at 0.99-2.8Bq/kg, and that in
a full one day ordinary diet was measured at 0.041Bq/man・day byγ-ray spectrometry.
The environmental radiation dose rate was 25.2-56.1nGy/h using a monitoring post,
and 48-74nGy/h using a survey meter. There was no significant difference between
the levels of the past years in Miyazaki Prefecture and those of other prefectures.
This
radioactivity monitoring survey was consigned by the Ministry of Education,Culture,
Sports, Science and Technology.
Key words : radioactivity, γ-ray spectrometry, grossβ
